Description
This is a scene originally drawn by Amelicart, which I recreated in Blender. The goal for this project was for me to learn about high-er poly character creation in Blender, starting from creating the character block-out, sculpting, retopology, and then rigging and animating.
I also wanted to learn about how to create such non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) scenes in Blender, so that's another reason to use this painting as the main reference. To create the outline, I used grease pencil and inverted hull using Blender's geometry nodes. To create the toon look, I created a simple two-tone shader and added some noise to simulate the painting strokes. Finally, I also added some grain to the main image and the edge-detected image to further simulate the strokes.
